Resumen: In this work, I consider a diffusive modified Leslie-Gower predator-prey model with a Holling type II functional response and alternative food sources for the predator. From the results of the temporal model, I identify regions in the parameter space in which Turing instability in the spatio-temporal model is expected. Subsequently, I analyse these instabilities and use simulations to illustrate the behaviour of both the temporal and spatio-temporal model. Future investigations can look for ecological invasion induced by the Leslie-Gower predator-prey model.
